There are so many ways to support our Silver Spruce community! Whether you have an hour to volunteer, want to join an event committee, or prefer to work remotely, we'd love to have you involved.

• Call or email local businesses for sponsorships or silent auction donations

• Behind-the-scenes prepwork, creating decor, preparing event materials, etc.

• Staff appreciation planning and set-up/tear-down

• Stuff Thursday folders

• Join a PTO event committee to help plan community events and fundraisers

• Support the PTO through your everyday shopping, details here.

VOLUNTEERING REMINDERS

• Please be sure to check in and out each time you volunteer in the building. You will need your ID or the Raptor Safe App installed on your phone.

• If you are interested in volunteering in your child's classroom, please contact your child's teacher directly.  Each teacher utilizes parent volunteers uniquely, so you will always find that "just right" experience in the class through your child's teacher.

• It is the District's goal to have one hour volunteered per month for every student in the school.  As quoted in the District Volunteer Handbook:  "Research tells us that when schools work together with families to support learning, children tend to succeed not just in school, but throughout life."
